Lies, Oh Lies!
We have our secrets and our needs to confess. We may remember how, in childhood, adults were able at first to look right through us, and into us, and what an accomplishment it was when we, in our fear and trembling, could tell our first lie, and make, for ourselves, the discovery that we are irredemably alone in certain respects, and know that within the territory of ourselves, there can be only our footprints.–R.D. R.D. Laing makes a great point when she basically says everyone lies, and needless to say no lie is a good one. This is all too common in society today. In fact the concept of “lying” is pretty much an everyday occurrence. People eat, sleep, and LIE! It’s sad, but true. One major example of this is the general topic of politics. There are very few politicians that are truthful, thats for sure. If someone swears to fix the Medicare situation and never does while that individual is in office, thats a lie. A majority of people depend on what politician’s say to be the truth. After all they will essentially be controlling the way we live our life, and thats NO LIE!
